The "leftist scene" here, like everywhere else, could best be characterised as "confused and fragmented."

My political ideas are "Marxist" but like the man himself "I am not a Marxist."

How I "became a leftist" is a complicated story, but could be partially explained by/traced to, a long involved conversation I had as a 15 year old with my brother and a friend. :lol:

fellow newbie here,

have to say its pretty disgusting the way that Cameron is treating the Scottish, as much as I am not a keen nationalist in any sense of the word, I believe that independence for Scotland is a stand against imperialism in the UK. However I think Salmond is delusional over his politics and changes his stance when questioned on anything other than "do you believe in an independent Scotland?"

what's your personal opinion on the topic?
