Toronto police have charged a Crown attorney with assault after a late-night pub fight involving three prosecutors ended with two being sent to hospital.

Constantinos Stratos, who works out of the citys Scarborough courthouse, was charged on Sunday with assault causing bodily harm, after an incident at the Old Stone Cottage Pub on Kingston Rd., according to police.

Police would not say whom Stratos is charged with assaulting. The Ministry of the Attorney General offered little information, but legal and police sources with knowledge of the incident told the Star that Stratos was at the pub with colleagues and fellow Crown attorneys James Dunda and Lisa Will when a fight between him and Dunda erupted. Will was accidentally hit in the face and had a tooth knocked out, said one source. Dunda suffered facial injuries, another source said. The Star has not been able to independently verify those claims.
Messages left with all three lawyers at their Scarborough offices and homes were not returned Thursday. A clerk who answered the phone at the Scarborough Crowns office would only say Stratos was on leave.

Oh those cads! Boys will be boys. Just disappointed that they weren't left to finish each other off.

Eh, the Star is pretty much a tabloid rag these days from what I've seen. Sad, because if I recall correctly they were the one paper that had the guts to endorse the NDP (not great but better than other papers). Kinda funny though. Would it be too much to hope that being in defense will change his attitude toward prosecuting some people on behalf of the state? :P
