It's like these people can't acknowledge the fact that certain practices businesses engage in are harmful to people. But even if they did, it wouldn't matter because harming people and the environment is perfectly fine as long as you can make a profit. That's clearly what the first couple of sentences imply. For people who claim to know so much about capitalism, it's seems rather odd that they don't even know about externality.

Besides, why do they insist on trying to continue to resort to far fetched arguments to bash everyone and everything that isn't conservative? Just because a corporation is depicted as bad in a movie, doesn't mean the movie is anti-business, unfortunate as I think that is. Plenty of films have done this and a lot of them have been around for a veeeeery long time.

For the record, The Lego Movie is actually pretty good....it actually goes in directions you wouldn't expect it to go. It's also pretty goddamn funny.

As for Fox, anything short of full-on corporate warfare is anti-business.

Also LOL at "Hollywood Hates Business". Hollywood is nothing BUT a business. The talent may consider itself 'progressive', but the real power behind Hollywood are the suits, and the suits only follow one ideology: Money.

I couldn't keep watching after that think-tank egghead popped up with his self-satisfied money-talk mug.

"Hollywood is dominated by the far left that is largely anti-capitalist" ... I clearly don't watch fox news enough because that was a much needed laugh!

Say what you will about it, but Fox News does paint a picture of a better world.

The media being dominated by socialists, the president and House of Reps being a socialist, everything and everyone that is famous or popular being anti-capitalist.... ahhh, if only if only.

Very good comrades. Very good, we will get to the children and convince them to share. That way we will destroy the American way of life and replace it with the gritty beet filled steel producing world of the future.

I'm sorry I had to point out that we should all watch the video for a classic phrase that caught me off guard and made me laugh.
Hollywood is run by far left anti-capitalists

I like how the lady says she's defending the evil villain and someone else on the panel is like "be careful". He's probably the only one looking at that and realizing that they're stupid for even trying to make this political because then they'd be out publicly supporting somebody who is by design made to be evil. It's just stupid on their part.

If these people like Capitalism so much, why don't they move to an African country or a Latin American country(I'm not talking about Cuba or Venezuela, but countries like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Mexico, etc which are ultra-capitalists shitholes).

If you keep a low profile a commune would be very easy to set up in the Dominican Republic. When I visited there, many people were interested in the idea of communes and there are many remote areas to do it.

Sorry, bit off topic but it popped into my head.

On topic: these people made even my dad laugh at them- and he is even a capitalism supporter.

Remember a few years ago when Fox mocked the idea of there being "poor" in America because of some study that showed 60% of households under the poverty line owned a refrigerator LOL.

Refrigerators are not love, they are the stake we will drive through the heart of capitalism.

"Are you defending mr. Potter (from it's a wonderful life)."

"Yeah, I kinda am"

Of course they don't mention the best late 20th century animated embodiment of capitalism: mr. Burns. Brought to us by FOX.

Remember, Fox has a stranglehold on the minds of millions of Americans, especially in the South and Midwest. We can laugh about this all we want, but keep in mind that these people view this as gospel and will never, ever go to the movies again because commies.

If you ask me the movie did have some religious undertones too, and even nihilistic if you think about it.
"The Man upstairs" = God
"The Special" = A savior, a messiah.

The Man Upstairs created the LEGO world, he controls and manipulates it, and he also has the power to destroy it.
When Will Ferrell (The Main Upstairs) tries to glue the legos to the set, the Legos see it as being robots and not the hands of humans. As a matter of fact, the Legos cannot even see the humans, they only see robots and celestial objects. The Legos are really just pawns in a grander scale, a simple social experiment.

Assuming God exists:
God created Earth, he controls and manipulates it, and he also had the power to destroy it.
Earth always has plagues, experiences asteroid collisions and other natural disasters, but how we see it. We see it as something "natural", something that no sentient being could have control over.
Since there is a God (boy he must be a bipolar nutcase), he does control these things. However, we don't see a god, we only see matter. According to Abrahamic texts, God created man in his image (he must be a humanoid looking version of Hyper Sonic then). So that's just it, humans (and all mortals for that matter) see natural disasters, when in reality it is the hand of God at work. With that being said, humans are just pawns in a larger scale, a simple social experiment.

You don't understand how the billionaires on the far left act. Its part of a far more sinister plot to seize power and create communism.

Yeah but half of those people were already the type that doesn't let their kid watch Harry Potter because of the magic. My grandparents have FOX news on half the time with the other half of their time dedicated to watching new movies. Not everybody who watches that will stop watching movies because of Hollywood being commie according to FOX News, even if they mutter it under their breaths. I would put money down that someone on that panel will watch a new movie produced by "Hollywood" within the next month even.

Guys think about those innocent CEO's that employ us and give us money to feed our kids and send them to colleges<3333

I mean forget all about how most CEO's pay their employees unfair wages and exploit them and cut their hours and salaries while they give each other large bonus checks to their already million dollar salary. Forget those CEO's who send their businesses overseas in order to pay their workers even less. Or Apple who makes their employees live in the work place. Or those CEO's that store money into secret bank accounts so they pay less money in taxes that go to benefit society.

CEO's are great, aren't they?

Fox News is cable news, hardly anyone watches it. What's their highest-rated show, "The O'Reilly Factor"? And he gets, what, like 3-4 million viewers per episode maybe? Out of a nation with 300+ million people, that ain't a lot. They've only really been successful when compared to others in the cable news format (CNN, MSNBC) but that's like bragging about being the tallest dwarf.

Now, if we're talking about News Corp. in general, that's another story...

Not only that but the age of the FOX News/O'Reilly Factor audience are past the retirement age, they're mostly old people. Not to diss old people but that's not usually the biggest demographic Hollywood is looking for. Just taking this into consideration it's probably why they feel so secure hating on Hollywood in such a flagrantly stupid way.
