Hey everyone, sharing this anti-capitalist musical planned for a festival in Galway in March.

Here is a work-in-progress showing from last year:

From the website:
I'm Deirdre Murphy, a choreographer, composer, and theatre maker based in Dublin Ireland since 2005. The participants in Anti-Capitalism: The Musical! are a superbly talented, multi-skilled group of experienced theatre makers, circus performers, singers, musicians, dancers, and actors. I am proud and touched to have them all commit to this project.
AC:TM is large scale theatrical narrative using circus and music. It a fairytale, set in a near future political reality similar to our own. It uses aerial acrobatics, plot twists, assassinations, and intrigue to tell the tale of a heroic group of everyday acrobats, aided by the Greek-chorus style narrations of a powerful triumvirate of fairy godmothers.
We're making AC:TM to heighten awareness around the biggest challenge the world has collectively ever faced. We would like to provoke humour and provide hope while reinforcing awareness that we are at a crossroads for human kind.
We need help to produce this show. There are fifteen people in the cast, plus live musicians, set and costume designers and builders, lighting and sound designers, dramaturg, production management, stage management, PR, theatrical technicians, etc. At least 25 people will work on this show for 4-16 weeks, and we need to cover costs.
We are presenting Anti-Capitalism: The Musical! in March of 2014 with the support of Galway Dance Days, who have offered venue and partial production. In order to bring this show into the future, we need support from people like you. Perhaps you don't have any money, but your husband's uncle's neighbour's brother is the producer for an Off-Broadway theatre? Or your mother's cousin's poodle goes to the same park as a West End magnate? Please help us spread awareness of our show, and of this campaign. Additional support in kind, such as rehearsal venue donation, set material donation, etc. is also welcome.
