Who else is watching? Which events? Who you backing? Gonna go Russia, all events, I will def be watching figure skating, hockey and the new snowboard thing. Super pumped. So far, so hilarious.

Definitely rooting for the Jamaican bobsled team.
Tbh though it seems that they did a really poor job of planning these olympics. I mean the opening ceremonies after the olympics already have started is kind of dumb. Also, they're now admitting to putting surveillance cameras in the hotel shows, which is really creepy, and they also were going to kill a bunch of stray dogs if someone wont take them in (which someone will luckily). Also the usual displacement of poor people to create the olympic buildings, but that's nothing new unfortunately. Oh and the water in that one hotel room was yellow, that's pretty nasty, and from what I understand they didn't even finish building some of the stuff.

Cross-country skiing!

I think they should have snowshoeing. They have a feet-first and head-first luge, a x-country skiing + shooting, skiing with one ski (snowboarding), and bocci with a big rock, but no snowshoeing. Ridiculous.

I'll be watching Ski Jumping. Especially I hope that Kamil Stoch will win some medal. Beside a little bit of cross-country, ice-hockey and curling.

Ok, so archrivals Finland and Sweden will meet in the ice hockey semifinals tomorrow, after Finland just beat Russia and dropped them out of the competition.. I'm not really a big sports fan in general but this specific setup happens to be the one exception to the rule.

Being a finn in Sweden, the satisfaction of the occasional finnish victory (most of the time Sweden actually wins) is just so great as swedish media and public always take out the victory in advance.

I was a bit entertained/baffled/amazed, by russian nationalist 'liberal-democrat' Vladimir Zhirinovskys (legendary total whacko ever since the 90s, vice chairman of the duma, none the less) comment after Russias defeat: the russian players should have been shown footage of finnish snipers shooting soviet soldiers in WWII before the game to boost the morale.

I agree, although there is a precedent for this. I know it happened in London in 2012, and believe in previous Olympics both Winter & Summer.
