Do Marxists differ very much if at all from more liberal leftists on how they view multiculturalism? From what I see, leftists in general are accepting of multiculturalism. Am I wrong?

I think you're wrong. I think 'multiculturalism' in liberal democracies is a methodology for dividing the working class, causing self-defined 'communities' to compete against each other and establishing a pecking order. It is, in short, a crock of liberal bullshit. An Asian business owner who sets himself up as a 'community leader' because he's a big-shot at the Mosque is still bourgeois. A worker in his clothing factory has more in common with me than with the boss, it doesn't matter that they're both Muslims and I'm not. Bosses are bosses, even if their grandparents came from the same country as yours.
