STOP THE CREEPING TAKE-OVER IN UKRAINE

The current events in Ukraine are getting more and more alarming and dramatic. In a number of regions well-organized radical groups seize local bodies of power by force. It is not simple-hearted proponents of human rights who set a tone, but overt fascist elements. Fans of Hitler are already at power in the Baltic states. Now they are rushing to power in Ukraine. It has come down to banning the activity of the Communist Party of Ukraine in two regions.
Prosecution of communists is one of the most evident signs of brewing fascism. There is nothing spontaneous in what is happening in Ukraine. These processes are ruled by experienced puppet masters who gained their skills in arranging overthrows in Yugoslavia, Georgia, Libya, the counties of Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

Western politicians and diplomats openly conduct the acts of bashing in Ukraine as if it were not a sovereign state, but one of their colonies. Active are instigators and agent-provocateurs from Poland and Baltic states. Interference into the internal affairs of Ukraine is now harsh and unprecedented. Any attempt to bring things in order result in accusations of excessive violence, blackmail and in threats to use sanctions.

The technology how to grab power is the same as in 2004 by chaos in the streets and violence. But the present Ukrainian highest ranks turned out to be unable to draw a lesson from history. Lack of actions on the part of the power equates to appeasing those who aim at engaging Ukraine into a civil war and drag it into and enslaving dependence from the European Union. We cannot ignore the most dangerous trend of strengthening manifestations of fascism in Europe.

We condemn resolutely the creeping attempt of a coup dtat in Ukraine. We call on all the left, patriotic and anti-fascist forces to raise their voices against the attempts of fascist elements to capture power in Ukraine.

We express our solidarity and support to the communists of Ukraine!.

So we should fight EU domination to ... preserve Russian domination? Of course, both sides in this dispute are dominated by reactionaries. A pox on both their houses - screw Patriotism.

Also is this the same KPRF which supports laws against the LGBT community? Great ... oppose EU domination to preserve the oppression of homosexuals.

There's more to being a good Marxist than criticizing EU and US Imperialism. One needs to criticize the systems of power within Capitalism - something expressed in the EU, Ukraine and Russia alike. These conflicts are being driven by the inability of current forces to easily solve the social and political conflicts which emerge with global capitalism. The current Communist Party doesn't seem to understand that though. They are too blinded by the veil of patriotic naivete. Why analyze the institutions of Capital when you can just blame the EU or CIA for instability in places like Libya, Syria or the Ukraine? That's why the dogma of so many so-called "Marxist-Leninists" is just so tired and one-sided.

I don't think that fascists particularly care about the KPRF's views on LGBT rights. The fact that armed groups are suppressing parties which call themselves communist is probably a bad thing. Should they come to power it would be harder for workers to organize.

Which of course isn't to say we should support the other side, or any of the current players. I am pretty underinformed about the situation though.
