Is anyone here, a dumb, Mohawk, leather jacket, prone to violence aginst upper-class asshole, gunslinging, badass, far leftist, who doesn't want to talk in books smart shit, but rather put a bullet hole in bill gates?
Sort of like the psychos from the video-game "borderlands"

I take influence from punk in how I dress. I am indeed prone to violence against upper classers, I carry weapons on me, I'm a far leftist, so yeah I guess I partially fit. I'm a Goth metalhead comrade. What's the point of this??

Totes. I sleep in steel-toed boots, head butt my way through picket fences, bite little chunks of metal from beer cans that I then throw at passing cop cars, wipe my ass with the pages of Das Capital Volume III and I've got a mohawk so awesome it punches clergymen in the face for breakfast.

It is essentially to see people I can talk to who in typical punk language like:
"Yo brother, some fucker rich ass ***** dried up on second avenue, pop him?"
"Yeah, I smash his *****-ass brains all over the floor"

I still consider it very sexist, afterall when used on a women its essentially calling her a dog, used on a guy that's like saying he's like a women and a dog to me. I see it as sexist. The word has not lost any of its sexist connotations. When men are referred to as a *****, it is normally because they are displaying feminine traits, which is socially undesirable as a man is supposed to show assertiveness and masculinity.
Women are generally referred to as a ***** when they show assertiveness or other masculine qualities, the word is essentially telling them that they need to stay in their place.

Abnormality - Taste of Despair
Eat the dead, cut the flesh
Disgusting, shameful fate
Death comes slow, writhe in pain
Who can blame one faced with difficult choice
Trapped in snowy walls
Strip meat from bone
Human body carved up like any other animal
Feed the hungry children first
All join in this unholy feast
Survival instinct kicks in first
Desire to live overcomes repulsion
Soon the tasty meat is craved
The dying are given a helpful push
Half-eaten bodies strewn
Limbs, skulls, and hair
Fleshless bones
Whether in hell or on earth
Not sure if it matters
Re-discovered is the dark history of our ancestors
Human's vile survival techniques
Half-eaten bodies strewn
Limbs, skulls, and hair
Fleshless bones
Horrendous melancholy tragedy
All join in this unholy feast
To become cannibal

I was once in a band that released a four-and-a-half-minute album that had fourteen songs on it.
Once I tried to pan-handle in a tourist town with a sign that said, "The rich are a useless waste of earth's resources!" and yelling insults at people. A cop gave me a quarter.
Probably there are like, only about 100 real punx left in Canada. Everyone else is a cutesy hipster playing bad soft-spoken folk songs about how hard it is to be rich, white, and straight-passing queer.

Punk's been a big influence on my life, but ultimately for a series of ethics or a world perspective it's more logical to approach things from a socialist or anarchist view. Punk rock has been completely disarmed by marketing, tamed by pop-punk of the Blink variety (though there are some good pop punk bands, no doubt) and lifestylism is really a liberal deal.

I think the internet hip hop scene has more subversive potential than punk because the shit is all free and it's not governed by market forces. That potential is being squandered though, even if the music is really good sometimes.

And yeah, I like punk music a lot. Or used to, rather. Used to be about the only music I listened to, along with metal and a bit of classic rock. My favorite band was the Dead Kennedys and I remember listening to the music and pondering the parallels that I lived in & the era the DK's lived in, the Reagan Era (ie a goofy figure-head president, foreign conflicts abroad, etc.) I also liked a lot of far less politically-inclined punk music, like the Misfits, the Circle Jerks and GG Allin & the Jabbers. Oh, and Black Flag. A lot of Black Flag.
I mainly enjoyed American Hardcore, but I also appreciated earlier stuff, mainly from the UK, like the Sex Pistols, the Damned, Stiff Little Fingers and The Buzzcocks. Never really got into crust or "peace punk"

I'd appreciate if you could wing me some links at some point!
With regards to peace-punk I find that ultimately it's been counter productive, the peace element always seems to emphasis "participating" in the "democratic" process. Plus Hip Hop is always going to have a greater depth of lyricism by it's nature. That said, The King Blues - What If Punk Never Happened always manages to lift me up on a bad day. Essentially what i've seen of punk in the UK, though my location has always partially limited it, has been much more of a hippy kinda vibe with regards to taking action and direct political content.

i buildt steam punk inspired furniture but its got little to do with punk (except maybe the DIY aspect), i would say the diesel-punk sub-genre has far more overlap with the actual punk scene
Although I enjoy the 2nd wave of punk-rock (The Exploited) I wouldn't describe myself a punk.
loved the exploited when i was 14 and angry, got bored with it fast, i work with big john duncan, he is very cool, watty is an complete bigot asshole douchebag who is way to chummy with nazi's though. he moved back to england from rotterdam at some point because the local punks here had a "knock watty out and get a tray of beer" game going on.

a load of punks hang around near camden market. u can tell that they've been there since the late 70s and refuse to move on.
i had my punk phase, its a necessary part of development i'd say. being a punk now is like being a hippie or a mod. there's a "punk" on my course at uni who has the mohawk and plaid trousers etc except he's painfully middle-class and well-to-do and the original punks were piss poor squatters who had fuck all. i know because my mum was one and her generation struggled until "punk" became marketed and profitable by the likes of vivienne westwood and malcolm mclaren etc.
i suppose this is why we distinguish some "punks" as "posers" lol.
i can't wait to see neo-chavs and neo-emos when i'm older hahaha

I already said I was wrong, no need to further prove it.
I didn't notice, I apologize.
However, it is a major obligation for communists not to allow bourgeois paradigms to become invisible, so critiques from different angles are always good.

It is essentially to see people I can talk to who in typical punk language like:
"Yo brother, some fucker rich ass ***** dried up on second avenue, pop him?"
"Yeah, I smash his *****-ass brains all over the floor"
Instead of hearing:
"Aye, it seems through a barbaric upper class citizen has strolled in!"
"Good Scott!, let us set up a rally of opposition!"
you seem to be forgetting that loads of today's punks are just angsty middle-class kids looking for an attractive phase of rebellion.

I quite like rivethead (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rivethead) fashion, particularly black leather steel-toed boots, combat trousers, and black leather jackets.
Although if I were to actively go for that kind of look I'd probably keep my long hair because I like having it that way.
At the moment my limited finances mean that I can only partially achieve my desired look. Got the boots and the trousers, but the leather jacket still eludes me. I used to have a leather trenchcoat, but that was years ago and I have no idea what happened to it.

I think the internet hip hop scene has more subversive potential than punk because the shit is all free and it's not governed by market forces. That potential is being squandered though, even if the music is really good sometimes.
Hmm, I really am not sure.

yeah I guess it's very similar with me, except that I don't wear rl polos, but care a lot about my look, my nails, hair, perfume etc. And I gotta admit that dreadlocks creep the fuck out of me, I can't help but to find them fucking disgusting and I wanna puke all over them.

I don't try that hard. I like a lot of punk music, but I never really played the part and got turned off by a lot of 90s era punks because there was a keepin' it real obsession (due to the increased popularity of the fashion and music). I was too pop-culturally omnivorous (though most of the punks when I was growing up also listened to hip hop... at some point it turned into metal for younger punks and I really wasn't into it). I don't know the music got less macho when I first got into it (the US had it's creative period of punk later than the initial UK flowering: riot-grrl, more diversity in sound and subjects and so on) but then pop-punk happened and I think as a reaction punk music got all macho again to prove their raw and realness.
I guess I would have fit the "Slacker" stereotype - which would be like the 90s version of hipster but actually working-class, not a PBR drinking yuppie who likes to dress "working class" in irony. I'm too indie for punk I guess: now I like Garage/Psych like Oblivians and Hunx and The Spits and Thee Oh Sees when it comes to rock music. I mean I wanna mosh, but I wanna do it high.

"steampunk" is really, really lame and has nothing to do with punk music

Nothing wrong with different sub-cultures. I like punk, though I clearly don't have the mohawk or all the posery stuff. I like the DIY attitude, though.

I just don't feel comfortable putting labels like "punk" on myself. That doesn't mean that i'm "obedient to dominating cultural norms" (if that's what you're implying). No need to be an obnoxious dick.

I've never understood the concept of having a 'favorite band,' since I've never been able to pick one. But I suppose if someone twisted my arm and I had to choose, it would be the minutemen. Double Nickles on the Dime, is probably the greatest outpouring of creativity I've ever come across. Never heard of Dinosaur Jr, will have to check them out.
I jam econo.

Never heard of Dinosaur Jr.?!
They were big enough to be part of the 90s band kinda-reunion-I'm-not-sure-if-they-broke-up-or-just-lost-publicity-or-just-had-drug-problems thing that happened last year.
Man do I feel old when there are suddenly reunions and "legacy" shows of bands I listened to in High School.
Maybe that's why Op Ivy will be the only punk band from my location and generation that keeps its mystique... because barely anyone actually got to see them play and they were already broken up by the time most punks heard of them.
