To what extent are socialist groups social clubs?
Philly Socialists were quite explicit about being a group of friends.

To what extent is a socialist group as a social club a desirable thing?

There's nothing wrong with a socialist social group, as long as it's inclusive and dedicates it's time to discussing tactics--not venting about the current society. That's counterproductive.
