View Full Version : Capitalism: Laissez-faire vs. Rhine

Which one is the lesser of two evils, and why?
Laissez-faire Capitalism vs. Rhine Capitalism
They're both evil, and disgusting. I don't think you really can argue which is better or which is worse.

At least in Rhine Capitalism, taxes are used to fund public programs which help the disadvantaged. In Laissez-faire capitalism, there is no benefits.
Capitalism is capitalism, just because it may provide benefits does not make it good, plus those benefits will never last. Are you pro 'Rhine' capitalist? I don't truly know what it is, and I'm researching it now, and it seems very similar to welfare capitalism. Capitalism is and will always be unsustainable.

Evil? Our criticism of capitalism is not that it is evil (although I personally think that it is), but that it is against the interest of the working-class. Capitalism is not "evil" for the bourgeoisie.
I don't care which kind of capitalism is the regime of the day. All forms of capitalism entail the oppression of the working-class. Whichever form of capitalism can create the most anger and frustration among workers is good enough for me:grin:

Essentially. Most of Western Europe ( esp. Scandinavia and Great Britain) has a Rhine Capitalist economy.
Essentially what? Essentially you're pro capitalist? I also see this from studying, capitalism is bullshit, why are you bringing this up?

No, but if I had to chose between Rhine capitalism and Laissezfaire capitalism, I would choose Rhine. Free stuff and job-health insurance, even for the working class. It's slightly less oppressive.
Nothing beats socialism though.
Okay, so you said it yourself. What's the point of this thread, then?

Both forms are disasterous in their own respects. Just because it may benefit you, who is it not benefiting? Who is suffering because you get 'free' healthcare? Free healthcare and 'free stuff' and the cost of what? Capitalists try to increase their profit, and the capitalists certainly like making sacrifices at the expense of everyone and the benefit of themselves. Capitalism is oppressive all around. Welfare is costly to the capitalists and they'll just get rid of it eventually and so capitalism will get worse, and worse, and become more unsustainable. Wealth will accumulate into fewer and fewer hand. Indeed nothing beats socialism. I just can't say I'd want Welfare capitalism, I want no capitalism whatsoever, capitalism is wholely parasitic and benefits a small few over the masses who get crushed by the weight of the system.

It was to compare what's better between Laisezz-faire And Rhine Capitalism.
And as mentioned, Rhine Capitalism is better since you get free shit.
Of course, in socialism everything is free.
You don't "get free shit". That shit is paid for with taxes, most of which are extracted from the wealthy who, in turn, extract their wealth from the working class. In essence, you're simply getting what you fucking deserve, and not all of it. It's important to stress this point when talking with others in public: we don't believe in a "free lunch", rather, we understand that labor creates all wealth and labor must own that wealth.
I really see no point in comparing two types of capitalism as if it should matter to us at all.

By definition, Hitlerian Fascism (Nazism) is Economic Corporatism and Social Authoritarianism.
I support social libertarianism (to an extent of course) and economic socialism, so no I'm not a damn fascist.
Alright, and fascism is also corporatism taken to its extreme, what else would you say fascism is. Show some evidence, why are you a socialist? What brought you to socialism?

Drama queen is homophobic, and you can flip that around to gay women as drama king to be a homophobic slur, so yeah they both are to me and shouldn't be used. For instance a friend of mine in high school got called several slurs and drama queen was one of them.

'Drama queen' is above all a sexist epithet.
Your diplomatic overtones make me wanna puke.
I have heard straight girls be called drama queens. How is that homophobic when used against a lesbian?
Diplomatic overtones? I don't understand what you're getting at with that.
I've not heard that here, but I've heard people in high school use a bunch of things as homophobic garbage. I'm rather tired at the moment, so don't think I'm being an ass. I'll go with what Chicken$hit said with it being a sexist epithet as well.

How is that homophobic?
It is primarily sexist (the implication that women are 'hysterical' and 'noisy' and will make a lot of drama about nothing at all, and then they are called drama queens). This can then be extended to homosexuals by way of the implication that gay men are 'effeminate' and like women (hysterical and out of control, etc) which to the sexist or homophobic douchebag is an inherently negative trait since the worst thing he can imagine is being emasculated.

What reason have you given for being banned? Are you admitting you're a sock-puppet?
Sinister Intents
25th January 2014, 02:55
No. Being banned for supposed "homophobia" and "sexism".
I don't think you'll be banned. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and not knowing what you're saying is homophobic and sexist, just take it as a learning experience and don't do it again, learn why its wrong.
Marshal of the People
25th January 2014, 03:00
I understand how "drama queen" is sexist and "drama king" is apparently homophobic (somehow) so why don't we just use the term "drama person" from now on, no one can call it sexist and it isn't homophobic.
