I've heard about this. I've also heard that they have one of the highest rates of gayporn site activity. Maybe there's a connection. They fear homosexuality because they find it so interesting?
With Russia and Nigeria holding on to homophobic views, does anyone think they will change or are we looking at a steadfast resistance?

I also remember reading something about things being illegalized generally creates a spike in its activity. Like with alcohol prohibition in the US and how organized crime grew and it increased alcohol consumption. I don't quite remember, I'm not very literate on history :(

I think it will be changed with time, whether forcefully or through shitty reforms designed to hinder progress rather than help anything.

Quite the analysis there ha.
You think it actually might have to be due to the fact that since the state is making it not only taboo but illegal for these people to engage in their preferred sexual activities, that they might be resorting to some other form of sexual gratification. A porno site perhaps?

Not everyone there is entrenched in anti-gay ideas. Of the few people who are non-religious or followers of traditional religions, there is a push to end the homosexuality-as-crime laws.
That said, they are utterly outnumbered by people who think that homosexuality is on par with rapists and serial killers, and either start quoting the Bible/Quran or call you a faggot if you try to attack their viewpoint.
