It's a big project but it seems to be very popular.
I posted this in upcoming event (as it is upcoming) but if this is the incorrect place feel free to move it.
So, here's the deal. I'm tired of watching houseless folks freeze in the winter, and I'm tired of watching them being pushed around and assaulted by the cops.
I'm tired of the bullshit school system that is trying to train me to be nothing more than a worker. I'm tired of the constant attacks against people's individuality.
I'm tired of watching, and not acting.
So I've decided it's time to fucking do something, and I am going to do this.
But there's more- I want to know what shit you're tired of seeing? Or are you just tired of living in this bullshit system? Then I and others will be there to assist you, help you however you want. We want to create a safe place for people to be free of oppression.
We are having meetings currently, every Saturday at 3 (regarding the free school) and 6 (regarding the houseless shelter) at The Red and Black Cafe.
If you are in Portland, please come. If not? I encourage you to form your own project, and maybe we can somehow help each other out.
Remember, solidarity means action.
