When WW1 is the focus of attention it is as well to draw attention to those like Rosa Luxemburg who not only opposed the war but who also opposed the system that gives rise to war. An outspoken socialist writer and activist her uncompromising views on nationalism, on the common interests of the international proletariat – victory or defeat in war the result was the same for the proletariat - led her to oppose war - at a time of war. While Social Democratic Parties set aside all the fine resolutions passed at Congresses of the Second International and succumbed to supporting their respective national interests. In the background to her story we can also see the damage done by 'socialists' to the cause of Socialism.

Good to know that the SPGB has put this up, and also good to see that the SPGB is giving some attention to revolutionaries that it once decried as 'reformist'.

I haven't actually listened to it yet though, I might be complaining afterwards...
