Maybe make the text a color that's pleasant to read?

On another note, I've been considering doing the same thing. Crimethinc does it where I live and I presume they do it because they are somewhat successful.

Its at least a great tradition...we do it all time, from short "ads" to almost full articles..
If you go fly posting put some waterglas (sodiumsilicate) in your glue.

What is this, and where might I find this "waterglass"?

Any particular strategies, in terms of postering locations, etc., that have proven particularly valuable?

Any construction shop/diy store should have it; just throw in a good pour and it makes your posters, esp if you go over it again with your glue brush after you glued the poster on the wall pretty much waterproof.
Use a dustpan brush for the pasting.
If you end up pasting on the frontdoor of your local Nazi you can throw in a bunch of smashed Tube lights but that's a shit thing to do if there is any chance a normal worker might end up cleaning it.
