I must take several issues with this post, but before I do that I wish to give you my gratitude for the particular phrasing you chose to use (namely not saying that Marxism is a religion), ergo making this post that much shorter and more focused.

You don't, however, have my thanks for deciding that it was perfectly good idea to criticize a diverse (and often self-conflicted) movement(s) made out of even more diverse people... By making it a monolithic organization akin to the Catholic Church. Bonus points for at least keeping your theme constant, though.

Have self-professed Marxists decided that it was a perfectly good idea to dismiss criticism in the way you described? Given that countless thousands have taken that label upon themselves, I find it difficult to believe that out of all statistical probabilities, the least likely one occurred. More to the point, I have had the "privilege" of seeing such behavior on this very forum more than I'd like.
Finishing with that, I have to ask: So what? Surely you are aware that there exist countless critiques of the various criticisms made against Marxism and its adherents? Even this post, if you decided to be so gracious, could be considered an example of such.

Secondly, Marxism's pretensions towards being a religious-like body of thought is rather low. Provided you ever took the effort of even a minimal investigation, you know as well as I that Marxism's kinda about analyzing things, not repeating over and over the Gospel of Engels 3:11. The fact that some choose to do the latter is not a failing of the method, but of the particular methodist. The reverse logic would lead us to such absurd conclusions as that mathematics is nonsense because someone miscalculated a simple equation.

I could go on about how equating Marx to God is absurd, how Das Kapital(l?) is hardly an equivalent to Bible, however these points are trivial and I wasted enough time on your Bourgeois propaganda, you blasphemer.

We've had multiple threads about this topic and literally no one has sided with the swp. I think people are happy to talk about it because it's a perfect example to point out the hypocrisy present in just about all the old left parties, not to mention the newer ones.

I was going to say the inherent patriarchal nature of contemporary cultish situations which perpetuate rape culture, the intellectual acrobatics some involved try to do in which to rationalize said bullshit and so on. Among other things.
