Hey all! I am a student at Berkely (BIG SURPRISE hehe :D ) I've really gotten into communism and Che Gevara, and of course the Cuban revolution, by members of my campus (there is a commie club here) I've been really intrigued.
I came to this board to learn more about this mysterious man and about communism. Most of my relatives warned me about going to this school to avoid this type of situation, however I believe I am an open minded invdividual. Although I disagree with commies on one thing, I am a buddhist, I believe in love even for your enemy, what ya'll call the ruling class I think we ought to overwhelm them with love, I hear Che Gevara was like this.
Well anyway, thanks for listening, hope to have lots of fun here guys!

I hear Berkely is full of pinkos!
Tell everyone at the communist club about che-lives!
We would be really excitede to have more active leftists here.
And welcome to che-lives, comrade.
What do you dissagree with commies on? A violent revolution?
I'm sure you can find a faction you can fit into.
There are many in communism.
But know this, comrade, a loss of power for the bourgeoisie and a gain of power by the proletariat will never be possible through bourgeois elections. Current governments work in function of advancing the interests of the bourgeoise and furthering the subjugation of the proletariat so that their capitalist power structure can survive and they can continue to live at the expense of the collective labour of the people. Capitalist election are contests to see who the next appeaser of the bourgeoise will be and who will cater to their interests. Note that everything in this society exists to perpetuate the current position of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. In America you hav the right to employ others, but what about the right be employed? You have the right to fire your employees, but what about workers' rights? You have the right to pay your employees less than what they may produce, but what about the right to earn waht you produce? And the election system is not set up so that you can elect someone to destroy it. The government of the US works for the bourgeoise and tehrefore agaisnt the proletariat in the ever-continuing class struggle. It is simply impossible for it to bring about the destruction of the bourgeoisie itself. It is a political arm of society. Society being consumers and producers of a said region, in the case of capitalism both of those are dominated entirely by the bourgeoisie. The government cannot choose to cater to the needs of those in oppostion to those who own the wealth of society. One cannot work within a government to destroy it.
So welcome to che-lives. :)

No friend, I know perfectly well that sometimes a little bit of force is necessary. Just look at the Iraqis today, they are under the oppressive heal of the US army, of course they have to fight back.
However, I don't believe in unnecessary loss of life. like the death penalty for example, what's the point of this? Why can't we just give members of the burgeois life in prison rather than death? I do not believe we should decide who lives and dies.
