So, 6. February the swiss people are going to decide whether they want to accept the "Intiative gegen Masseneinwanderung"(initiative against mass immigration) or not.
Basically it's swiss rightists whining on how the bad immigrants are destroying their culture and stuff.
So recently they added this detail to the legal text
I'll just quote it:
3 Die jährlichen Höchstzahlen und Kontingente für erwerbstätige Ausländerinnen und Ausländer sind auf die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Interessen der Schweiz unter Berücksichtigung eines Vorranges für Schweizerinnen und Schweizer auszurichten; die Grenzgängerinnen und Grenzgänger sind einzubeziehen. Massgebende Kriterien für die Erteilung von Aufenthaltsbewilligungen sind insbesondere das Gesuch eines Arbeitgebers, die Integrationsfähigkeit und eine ausreichende, eigenständige Existenzgrundlage.

This means basically that the swiss people should have higher priority on the job market than an immigrant or a so called "Secondo" (second generation immigrant). That means that teen immigrants will face massive job problems in the future. The unemployment within the immigrants will rise massively. This could be bypassed by getting the swiss citizenship. Well the thing is, that the SVP (Swiss popular pary, which proposed this initative) also wants to complicate the naturalization process.
So basically they're fucking around with us immigrants.
