View Full Version : What's Killing Me Now

I decided to make one thread in which to post my health questions in instead of posting multiple ones periodically (I'm a hypochondriac).

So, normally, my appetite is pretty decent. I eat like two appropriately portioned meals per day and might have a snack or something throughout the day. The problem is, for the past 5-6 days I have not been able to eat, like at all. I have food and food already made it's just it has no real interest to me and I feel I am only shoving it into my face so my tummy won't hurt anymore. Idk what it is. I know I'm hungry, my tummy hurts, my head is all light and such but I just can't bring myself to just fill up and have been just munching and picking at things. It's so weird as I love food, like a lot, like kind of to much, usually and now, out of nowhere, my body is like unconsciously starving itself. Perhaps a tape worm? Idk.

I think a tapeworm would make you more hungry (but idk really)... Have you been more stressed than usual or anything like that? Or it could just be a general cold or something. I had a week or so a couple of months ago where I felt mildly sick and couldn't eat.

Might be a small flu, might be major depression, talk to your doctor.

I've had a flu similar to this before, but definitely contact a doctor.

True.

To a degree, mounting legal issues but I thought I'd been dealing pretty well, I haven't even thought about it to much except when people have mentioned it to me irl. So, I was like hmm.

Hmm,...perhaps it is a lingering symptom of the cold I had. Didn't think of this.

Sleep could be a factor, yes?

I don't have one, I don't have insurance, and I already have enough bills.

This happens to me a lot and has for years. I'm way too skinny to be honest, I wear women's belts a lot of the time (not sure how the hell I needed up with them). I know I need to eat more and it's unhealthy but I can never bring myself to do it. Sometimes I'll only eat one meal a day, two at the most.

To me, it sounds like depression. Even if it's expensive, I would see a doctor if it doesn't go away in a week or so.

Also, I think this might be a good sticky so we can ask each other medical questions in one big thread? How does that sound?

North Korea is Best Korea may have something to do with this. That and the fact that you call it "tummy". Put it all together and what you got is a wee bit o stress from an adolescent girl which should never be taken lightly. Still you always make me, and Im sure others laugh. Things will look up mon petite.;)

I'm not opposed to this.

North Korean apologism as the etiology of mysterious non-appetite? Interesting.

I'm a healthcare professional, I do try to be medically accurate.

N'awwwwe, you think I'm an adolescent, what an adorable compliment.

PS, I think it was nerves because I've been taking some xanax over the past couple days and my appetite seemingly has been returning. Further tests are needed.
