I've thought it a proper socialist/anarchist anthem.

It's amazing & great It's very beautiful.

& much love to Yoko Ono for keeping the ultra Right Prime Minister from playing the song

Ugh I seriously cannot stand this song.

I can imagine that, but I believe that I can disbelieve that in regards to my own opinion.

I always loved this song, so did my retard republican dad. I told him it sounded like a communist song, but he wouldn't believe me.

You've called your dad retarded more than once. I get it you have daddy issues but that's really no excuse to go around the forum sayings that things/people are "retarded"

The music is great if you ask me, but it's hard to look past the fact that the singer was a wife-beating piece of excrement. Normally, a little bit of "I don't have to like the artist to like their music" is warranted and appropriate, but I guess I just feel differently about it when the song is literally about how the world ought to be. Imagine there's no countries, religion, or war, and imagine that John Lennon got his ass kicked too. :glare:

Can't stand it. Not a Beatles/Lennon fan anyway but I find Imagine particularly irritating.

I used this in a school project in high school once, like just as a joke, but the music was set really high, and I couldn't turn it down and it was awkward, and then people in the hallway came to the door, and were like "What the fuck is happening in here?". I just remember desperately trying to turn it down, but I didn't want to seem like a dumbass, so I just kind of yelled "Anarchy!", like I knew what I was doing. Yeah, high school wasn't easy on me

Oh, and imagine is great. When I first heard the lyrics, I was kind of wondering if he knew what he was implying. Like, even though it was John Lennon, it still seems kind of edgy, you know, like for a mainstream song. Funny thing though, if we said it was communist-esque, he'd probably be like "I'm not a bloody communist!". Well John... the music seems to hint otherwise.
