darn it you stole my wish :(
In all honesty, I want to get through with it as soon as possible, don't get me wrong I love the holidays but what I love about them is hanging out with my friends and going to all of these family events is counter-productive to that.

^^did same with a good mixture of sherry, some nice rioja and lots of G&T.
Disappointingly, my mother decided not to take seriously my wish for a straight razor, and bought me a fairly ropey safety razor set instead. Not that i'm not grateful, but to not even buy the blades to accompany the set when she knows I am flat out broke is a bit thoughtless. Meh.

I can only dream of being clean shaven, for now. Just attacked my skin with my half-charged beard trimmer. Rubbish.

I did that too, not cause it looks good/cool (quite the opposite) I just get lazy and hate shaving. I think my mother was sick of seeing me with a scrubby face, so she bought me an electric razor.
Oh also, what I want for christmas is #FF0000 in the CU.

What I want for Christmas is for y'all to realize the glory of having a beard.

I haven't wet shaved since I was like 17. Just fancy the option, because if I don't want a beard currently it's automatic 5 o'clock shadow, cos beard trimmers are useful at proper shaving.

Made a list of books I wanted, but my dad got me The Origins of Political Order by Francis Fukuyama. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but while the subject matter is interesting I just know going in that it's going to be half-baked at best.
I also got Red Shelley by Paul Foot though, so can't complain. :)

I know that feeling. Last year my dad got me "THE COMMUNIST HORIZON" by Jodi Dean. It was a "so bad it's good" kind of thing, though.

i'm only 22 lol.
I never used to know how to wet shave properly, so it used to proper irritate me. Put me off a bit.
Now that i've got a proper kit, i'll do it nicely and be looking like a curly daniel craig in no time.

What was so bad about it?

I wanted books and got books. My sister got me some poetry and my mom got me a Jean Genet book.

I've been wanting to read that for a while. What was bad about it?
