A very good short documentary about post-Apartheid South Africa. It was made in 1998 - (In it he is able to interview Mandela and he is able to contrast what he is saying with the reality on the ground - it's rather angering - especially watching him honor Suharto.)
It would be very interesting if Pilger was able to follow up with this documentary today and fill in the picture from the perspective he took in 1998.
It's about an hour, but it's quite good. Also, Pilger's other reports and documentary's are worth watching.

Yep.

South Africa Under the ANC: A Flawed Freedom
by John S. Saul
Has the time come when it might be possible to move past the well-deserved praise-song phase of the marking of Nelson Mandela's death in order to strike a more careful balance sheet on the meaning for present-day South Africa of his storied career?
