Hello RevLeft. I'm a student from Buckinghamshire in south east England. I've recently become a lot more interested in communism and the left.

As some of you may know growing up in Buckinghamshire has left me pretty unaware of branches of communism and different schools of thought. (Buckinghamshire is a conservative stronghold).

I'd like to be able to describe myself as a communist but without much in depth knowledge that might be premature. I hope that this site and it's members can help me find an appropriate ideology. :)

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

There is no need to explicitly find yourself an ideology. Keep critical, think for yourself, work with others, be active.

I think that I live in an area too industrialised for Maoism to be suitable for the proletariat of my area, I am also very skeptical of anti-revisionist ideologies.
