Hi peoples!

Lately i've been getting into renewable energy more and more. Since i live in a place where can take good speeds, i've been reading up on wind turbines. I am a car mechanic and know my way around electronics, so parts and making/assembling should be no problem.

I'd really like to know if anyone has any experience with building their own wind turbine, and especially an VAWT, like a Savonieus or a H-rotor.

Yeah, i found those too. Problem is, they're HAWT's (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine). I'm thinking about making one with a vertical axis.
On the instructables page there are some more wind turbines, but no H-rotors. I find them particularly interesting since they're really quiet.
