Hey guys, I don't know how many people on this website are into games, but there is this game called >Bloc.

>Bloc is a relatively small browser game that is set in the cold war. In this game you create your own third world nation, you choose it's government, military, economic system, etc. You are able to declare war on other players, bomb them, nuke them, take their territory, or you can just focus on drilling oil and increasing your GDP. Overall, it's a pretty fun game. It only takes about 5 minutes a day to play (or more, it depends on how much you browse the forums.)

As for some tips

1. Join an alliance fast. If you are not in one, you are considered free game by other nations. A good/relevant one to join for this forums users is the Comintern or the Che Guevara League. They are both pretty decent alliances that will provide excellent protection.

To join the Comintern, send an in-game communique to USSR.

To join the Che Guevara League, send an in-game communique to Zizek or Zerus.

As for the alliance requirements, you must have a Mixed Economy/Central Planning economy, and a Non-Alignment or Eastern Alignment.

In a supraalliance, ANNON, the freedom fighters are in RVL, if you want to remain neutral the go Commitern (they have been couped by channers, but at least no trollish ones)

CGL, AA & BC are regional alliances so you can only join them if you are in the correct geographic spot (Latin America, Asia and Middle East respectivelly)

No that much if you take a tankie stance towards geopolitics. If you prey on innactive nations by the end of the week you'll have a decent GPD to built your war machine (to invade more advanced inactive ones) and bring happines to the opressed masses of your state. Social-Imperialism is the best way to develop nations in this game.

BTW, I've sent some guns and taks to the people who joined yesterday to boost a little their military.

The mechanics of this game aren't really interesting since it boils down to tech and numbers and other aspects are ignored. It's not time consuming at all, but the community is filled to the brim with channers and goons, and in between those two communities it makes the place really dumb.

It's more out of commitment to my group (CGL) I still log in right now since inactive members can bring down an alliance.

Yeah, the forum is shitposting pretty much (and we all have contributet to that to some degree) but right now has been a development, after the war it has been said that people are going to try to engage more in rp in the forums, and the game. For example the RVL is gonna become a full leftist supraalliance and it's going to rp more the East vs. West thingy with the EFF.

The game is totally bugged now, no news about a new turn, no manpower replenishment, no stability increase, no growth increase. Unplayable atm.

Yeah, the game right now is briken. Someone decide to see how meny multies can he pull before the admin comes back, for he has been absent since chrismas, and it's number is arround 240k atm, so that has broken the whole game.

There's a manpower bug (among thousands of bugs) so getting troops right now is almost imposible.

Shit. Well, I might be able to win, very very very slightly. One of them has 6k troops left, the other has 13k, I've got 21 overall but they keep fucking gassing me.

Oh wow, I didn't know someone already recruited from here.
No, Comintern was not couped by channers, Comintern was attacked by all the channers at once after it had just fought a harsh war, most of the leadership had either left the alliance or quit the game altogether, and the new leadership had decided to stay out of the last war because Comintern was still rebuilding.

The last war that occurred was between a bunch of very horrible people, because most of the game is full of horrible people with very few exeptions (Hereno and whoever lead the AAG, if you are reading this I am talking about you guys)

Currently the game it totally broken because someone made ~250k new accounts and crashed the games registration, log in, the turns server (So the turns will never ever change even if you can log in) and the games singe developer who was never really that good anyways has not been seen since christmas and has a reputation for abandoning games.

However, there is a copy of this game that is up and running, and it has a competent developer who actually works on fixing and improving the game mechanics and I will make a separate thread about said game soon(tm)
