Hello everyone! I unfortunately live in a pretty conservative state, with libertarian leans.

I'm a college student studying sustainable policy with a sociology minor, although I am thinking of going into higher education.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What are your political ideas, if anything specific?

Why aren't you hiding? I heard there were drunken sailors that are searching for prey with a sarcasm-meter.

It's like environmentalism and economics put together.

Environmental issues are obviously my passion, other political ideas I have: health cares should be universal and free through a single payer system, education should be free and for-profits should not be attached to them (I can go into more details if necessary), proportional voting and instant runoff voting should be used instead plurality voting, all drugs should be decriminalized and regulated (addicts should be sent to rehab not prison), stand your ground laws are bullshit and guns in general should be highly regulated, and I side with the liberals on all social issues.

How do you get reputation points?
By either using the "thanks" button (1 rep) or by using the scales in the top-right of each post (you'll get the amount of rep power of the user who gives you rep).

Liberalism and conservatism are two sides of the same capitalist coin.

Welcome, I'm in California where mainstream politics are further to the right than you might think. The population in some places is probably further left than in other places, but probably not that different than other urban areas.

Who is supposed to be doing this regulation and why should I care what they have to say?

A form of government. Preferably the federal government for consistency.
