Hello.

I'm an anarchist from Slovenia and decided to join you :) last winter we had big demonstrations but unforunately they faded away with the fall of our prime minister.

Well, let's hope things will change

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

What's the Slovenian left like?

We have some anarchist groups but as far as I know there are no real socialist / communist groups.

Welcome. I have a leftist pal from Slovenia, and he tells me that it can be rather bad occasionally. Gays are typically looked down upon in public, and that's not exactly good for him.

Are you just anarchist or are you syndicalist/communist as well? I see your avatar is the anarcho-syndicalist/communist flag color.

What got you interested in left-wing ideologies?

I think our society is somewhat conservative, especially towards gays and immigrants. Even young people, which is becoming to be a problem.

I count myself as anarcho-syndicalist.

What got me interested in left-wing ideologies? Well, I don't know for sure, but this whole world situation, the crisis, the capitalism, the rise of nationalism.... Maybe even family history (relatives fighting in spanish civil war, being on the list to die during ww2, fighting during ww2). I can't really explain.

I love Ljubljana, very modern city with cool bars and such. If there was a place where I'd want to migrate to because of the shitty weather here, Ljubljana would be ranked pretty high, maybe number 1 (but there's so many cool places in the world).

I think we all understand that things are just not right. There is no definite answer, but things definitely are not good.
