Millennium dome? watse or worth it

Why has the dome been a 1 year project. I wne to the dome and it was good but the land is empty and why is it so short sighted. What a watse of £600+ million pounds.

ofcourse it is, government spenditures are about as political as it gets. In my opinion McLaren, you have to realize that althought the government (all govts.) is the only entity that wastes money, in the literal sense of the word wastes. In the case of an "improvement" like the dome it felt that the revenue it would receive from increased tourism would repay the costs.
