As many of you are probobly aware, Mumia Abu-Jamal was wrongly accused of murdering a cop 20 years ago. Despite evidence to prove his innocence he has remained on death row since then. That is until now.
Finally, a federal court judge threw out his death sentence. This is an optomistic sign that Mumia might be on the road to freedom - that is the USA willing. Allthough Mumia remains behind bars this is a big win considering more recent events involving his case. Back in September his lawyers finally had the opportunity to arrange for an appeal on his sentence but this opportunity was denied when Philadelpia police declared the court room 'too dangerous' do to the thousands of Mumia activists who had shown up. Bullshit.
At least now we're heading in the right direction.
