Great film, I suggest everyone watches it. The 1975 vesion BTW.

I haven't seen the original. It could not be worse than the remake. What a fucking horrible movie.

Meh, that film filled me with a sense of wasted potential. They made a decent film from a great script. The central performance was underwhelming and unemotive. You feel that, unlike Marlon Brando, he couldn't answer the question "What are you rebelling against?" You just end up hating the protagonist and that ruins the film.


Original is always best! That's another of these silly genralisations that people say to sound 'cultured'. What about Ocean's Eleven, Mean Machine, Dracula, Cat People, Shaft etc.?
