In Alabama, there is strong hate towards Hispanics, or in better terms "illegal Mexicans". They blame them for literally everything.

They don't look at it and think about how they could buddy up with them and go after the corporate powers that hire the Mexicans instead of them and pay them shitty wages, no they are pissed cause this guy has something they don't have.
"They don't pay a penny in taxes, so who cares if they make crap money?"

How is that fair?


That's my biggest issue, I have never heard an argument down here against illegals where they take into account that they are human beings. They are looked at upon like they are animals.

Most common argument is these idiots think they are better than someone just because they were born in the U.S. :laugh:


I grew up in some very prejudice environments. Matter of fact, I don't think there is a single town in Alabama where it's multi-racial. You have all black neighborhoods, then all white neighborhoods. Same goes for the churches, instead of building one big church for the entire community, they split it into two.

The south was built on racism. It's all they have left to wave those stupid Confederate flags and scream about how awesome it is to be 'Murican.


Where I grew up we had politicians that had history in the Klan. It was always rumors around town and then it turned out to be true later on. There was no big corruption clean up or nothing. They didn't even give a shit. The only time one of them ever went to jail (and when it was confirmed he was in the KKK) was when they were busted stealing money out public funds to go to building that 3rd mansion or buying that 4th yacht. If you ever heard rumors of people down here worshiping George Wallace for being a racist piece of shit, it's 100% true. They talk about him like he was some kind of saint.


In the south they don't even care if someone in power has a history in the Klan. It's treated like a joke.
If you ever want to say America is hypocritical in how they view terrorism look no further than that. The Klan has been killing people for over a hundred years, and they have yet to be declared a terrorist organization. They'll demonize some Muslims, but if it's white people they don't care whatsoever.

Yep. It really is amazing (and depressing) how often I see a worker pinpoint precisely the antagonisms of capitalist society, yet fail to connect the dots for a revolutionary consciousness.
