I remember when I used to drink to have fun. Now it seems like I use alcohol as a pain-killer, either of emotional or physical pain, and to make myself unaware of who I am.

Wish I could go back to the days of being 17 and being psyched at the fact that we'd managed to score a couple bottles of whiskey and rum for the weekend, rather than endlessly rotate a glass tumbler on a bar counter and look lazily over at some slumped over drunk.

Oh wow. I'm finally drunk enough to contribute. That's cool. As I said earlier I drank my new year's alcohol because I couldn't do so last night. I've acquired a taste for beer. Which is nice. I used to think it tasted like moldy bread soda but I suppose it's better than nothing, but I didn't really feel anything until I got into the wine. btw finally looked up the beer I was drinking, the mass quantity of beers i've had this holiday season and they're at 4% something abv so I feel less guilty for drinking so many of them although they are 16 oz, kinda just enjoyed the mellow light alcohol feel

to make up for all that lack of alcohol though I am now finishing off the last 6 pack and drinking a bottle of 16% abv sake and then more red wine

No, well, wishing I had was the drink talking. I did almost kill myself two nights ago. Don't know what stopped me honestly. Maybe my subconscious just didn't want to have inappropriate death music; I was listening to Random Access Memories at the time, great album, but not for dying. That's my best guess anyways, I don't know what stopped me. I did mushrooms the next night for the first time and felt stronger, not better but stronger, afterwards. But then I got way too drunk trying to bring out my 'better self' and the weakness came back under the shame I was feeling for putting my roomate (who is also my best friend) in that awkward position.

I have, there's some newspaper on the floor as well. I have a pizza in the fridge that will have to wait until tomorrow to be eaten. I think the main problem is that I drank a lot of sugary drinks, like cider as well as three cans of Jack Daniels and coke. I feel fine now and thankfully being sick because of alcohol is a rare thing - most of the time after drinking alcohol I just have some carb-heavy food and water or milk, and go to bed without being sick.

Oh yeah dude. Flight to Budapest was delayed by 3 hours so me, my 2 uncles and dad ended up having about 5 pints each whilst waiting. Costed a fortune. However, Hungary is insanely cheap when it comes to beer.
