Of course we should join the EURO. We can't join immediately because the economic conditions are not right. Soon we will have an all powerful political leader, democratically for once. The EURO would rival the dollar with more support and a United Europe will make the USA #2 hopefully bringing hope to the world. The EU is much more leftist than the US (not leftist enough though) and having a superior army we can boss you about, haha. The EU supports the Palestinian cause more than the yanks do aswell, more hope.

EU #1

The Euro would bring Europe closer together, making a link between all of europe creating a stronger more united power. The Euro would also stop all that pissing about with changing your money into a foriegn currency and unless i have been misinformed it should stop all the confusion with value. But as has already been said it is a bit econimically unstable but hey its early days, lets just hope the Tori's dont get in on the next election!

wake up ppl. although europe appears to be leftists its the same as usa. europe will be the USE. so then we have to coorpariting super powers. USA,USE. wil lthis make our posistion better? europe is going to have usa a laws, a joined fight against 'terrorism'. a step back for the ppl, a leap forward for the capi's. damn that imperialistic globalisation.

the labour parties in europe are nearly as labour as the 'democrats' in usa. u can see a movement to the right. media power is political power. here in holland we have a political party which is called l'iveable holland'. its a celeberty party its going to get many votes, the party is totally right wing( ban all asylum seekers). we can see the same thing happen in italy, damn berlusconi owning almost everything in the country. a united europe will be more effective in passing knowledge about 'terorists' like the che lives members. no to the euro no to a united europe !!!

the euro is the furture, and it's inevitable that britain will join, the arguement's already been won. monetary union is the first step on the road to greater economic union, and our government will have to embrace the spirit of cooperation whether it likes it or not. a strong europe will reduce our government's tendancy to rely on the us for policy. noone seems to be arguing solidly against it apart from the tories. that's because greater consolidation and cooperation between eu economies will be good for ordinary people and bad for business. our right wing government wouldn't be able to get away with half the crap it does now if it joined the euro, it would need to be more responsible towards our more democratic neighbours on the continent and consumers here. and besides, the average brit could use a greater understanding of other cultures - being isolated on an island doesn't make for sound foreign policy.

No.

I have a friend who is an economics student and he taught me a lot about the euro and its various problems. I will try and find some of his writings and post them. :)

My own opinion : i dont always beleive unification is the answer to our problems when the power distribution will just be put in the hands of Brussels and its distorted way of working.
I love the idea of the Euro, but in the current climate i cant see it being legitimate. Im not of the "keep the pound" opinion the Tory's love to throw around, my opinion stems from distrust of the EU has an organisation.

i agree with uinfication but certainly not under these conditions. like usa accpeting cuba as their leaders :) would be cool. but the current situation is more that the big evil country eats the good countries. france italy germany. kill good nations. like portugal. its like usa having the nafta with mexico. dont let the sheep follow the master, or the world would turn out in a disaster !break free be revolutionary

respect equality liberation. no ignorance war and harm done !

EU without corruption is good.

EU with corruption on the other hand is bad.

Get rid of the corruption, make it more accountable, then i'll support it.

Foreign trade needs no help. Britain is a very rich nation has it is and we need no assistance in becoming richer.

Has i have said, i dont know much about economics but i know that the Euro isnt a very good thing for people to enter into lightly. The EU has an organisation is terrible and the real effects that the Euro will have will be on the smaller, poorer, nations such as Portugal, who cant compete with the wealthier nations to its north.
