I have been lurking here and there on occasion for a few years and even had this account for almost 300 days and I figured I might as well give an introduction.

I am a 19 year old university student in southern Pennsylvania as of now majoring in philosophy and sociology. I have been on the far-left even since I was in 7th grade, starting with Maoism and then made a transition towards anarchism, and now I a pan-leftist and much more pluralistic in my political views, but Platformism and Maoism are two ideologies I still hold very dear to my heart.

Even though I am indeed far-left, some of my biggest influences have been from people who are not even revolutionary, and in some cases, anti-communist such as Hegel, Jean Baudrillard, Jurgen Habermas, Francis Fukuyama, and Martha Nussbaum. Habermas in particular has had the biggest influence on me when we the issue of democracy is brought up.

My race has been a very big part of my life growing up. I am half-Japanese. Although I am starting to appear less Asian as I grow older, I looked very Asian throughout most of high school and faced a lot of shit, whether it was the hateful racism "Ching Chang Chong" or "Dirty Chink" or the loving multicultural liberal and his/her creepy love of anime, video games, and Asians, especially women.

As a result of this kind of bullshit, I adopted left-wing Asian nationalism as a major part of my ideology which is probably the most controversial stance I have given the distrust of nationalism many leftists tend to have. Unlike the nationalism of the Black Panthers, Young Lords, or I Wor Kuen which was used as a means of struggling against hateful White supremacy, this form of nationalism is meant to struggle against media which has created harmful stereotypes concerning Asians. And more importantly, to fight against the model minority stereotype that has harmed Asians and is used by White supremacists to justify their bigoted views. In a way, this form of racism towards Asians is actually more loving than anything. The White supremacist is actually praising us and I know many Asians who buy into this which makes the struggle only more difficult. If anyone is interested interested in this topic, feel free to shoot me a PM.

But when I am not studying politics and talking to my professors in the Ivory Tower, I enjoy engaging in literary and film criticism, cooking, and gaming. Unfortunately, I have been playing fewer games due to a lack of time and Combat Liberalism. At least I feel that I am doing something worthwhile by reading a book or watching anime and applying criticism.
