So, I can't seem to find this cat, a one, F. J. P. Veale whom wrote both Advanced to Barbarism and Crimes Discreetly Veiled and so on.

^His creepy mug.
I bought his Advanced to Barbarism book out of curiosity at a used bookstore and haven't been able to really find any information on him other than what is contained in the link below, can anyone help me out? I generally try to do research on the author of a book I'm getting into along with doing research on the topic of the book as well.

Yeah, that looks like some hella sketch shit. I sense his critique of the Nuremberg trials isn't exactly from a critical internationalist viewpoint (ie that the leaders of all concerned powers ought to be held complicit and strung-up).

Apparently he was indeed a fascist. Look up the page cache of oswaldmosley.com's article on him.

So what's the book about I couldn't find a description of it. I love finding weird books in used stores. I have an introduction to Maoism for children that I found at a half price books a few years ago. Its a paperback that looks like it's from the 70s, must have come out of a militant press somewhere because it has no ISBN or publishing info. What's more upsetting is the person it belonged to clearly must have been clearing out an attic because there was one for Stalin and one other based on someone i can't remember. When i went back to grab those two they were gone.

From Amazon/the book:
"Who started the mass bombing of civilians in World War Ii? This book proves, with clinical detail, that it was the Allies, and not the Germans, who started the "blitz" and once underway, carried it to the most extreme murderous ends. The author, a legally-trained expert, shows how European conflicts for 200 years prior to 1939 had an unwritten agreement to avoid involving civilians in warfare and gives several historical examples where victors exercised non-vindictive restraint in dealing with the vanquished. This code of conduct, however, vanished in an orgy of hatred in the 1939-1945 conflict. Veale is meticulous in his arguments and cites cabinet meeting transcripts, memoirs of those involved in the decision-making, and many other sources to prove that the British and Americans were the first and the best at killing innocent civilians-and that if there had been any justice at Nuremburg, the accused would have included the Allied leaders as well."
So, as you can see, on the face of it I was like alright, bet, I will buy you vol 1 and 2 for 5 bucks, why not.
