Hello,

I'm a student from Lincoln. I'm a paying member of the Socialist Labour Party and a convinced socialist.

I might describe myself as a proletarian nationalist but usually just a socialist.

I've recently finished reading 'The Iron Heel' by Jack London and 'The Manifesto for the Abolition of Enslavement to Interest on Money' by Gottfried Feder (the man I've got my username from).

I've not fully worked my politics out, being so young, but I like (as shown above) to read as broadly as possible from a generally left-wing perspective.

I cannot promise to be very active here (until the holidays) but I thought it would be polite to introduce myself now.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

In what sense are you a "proletarian nationalist"?

In what sense are you a "proletarian nationalist"?

I am a nationalist but not a patriot, if that makes sense.

I am loyal to the English nation but not to the British state. I believe in the right of national self-determination and apply that universally.

I only felt the need to bring that up so as to distinguish myself from the more viciously anti-nationalist elements of the far-left (the Trotskyists, for example).

I am a little more conservative, if I could put it that way.

I hope I'm making some sense. Feel free to question me further.

Welcome. Your introduction raises a few questions but hopefully questioners will bear in mind your youth.
