What are your thoughts on surrogate pregnancies? Do you think they are innovative for women who want to have kids without marriage, is lesbian, or their husband is in an remote land? Do you support surrogate pregnancies?
I personally think that surrogate pregnancies are innovative and allow much more freedoms for homosexuals or people that don't want to get married. I apologize if I posted this thread on the wrong section of the forums.

I think surrogacy can be a good way to give homosexuals a child if they want and can take care of the child. Though, adoption is a more for me a more preferable part of giving homosexuals a child, saving a already living child from poverty rather than create a new child.
I may be called reactionary for this view, but the artificial insemination part of conceiving the child is to me very disgusting and completely unnatural, but that is my view.

I think people should be allowed to do it... although I think human reproduction in general should be discouraged until we can meet the carrying capacity of the planet. There's only so much land to provide food for what, in the next few decades, will be like 10 billion people.

You're right, that is completely reactionary. You, acting as if what other people do with their own bodies is wrong in some way, is fucked up.
o well this is ok I guess

Adoption is preferable in all cases, but whatever. On topic, what case is there to be made for one over the other on ethical lines?
That said, what are the medical complications that can arise from artificial insemination, if any?

This planet can easily support 10 billion people, food-wise.

Os Cangaceiros is right. We have sufficient resources to give about 12 billion people a healthy lifestyle. Your comment seems to reflect the view that a better system is impossible:confused:
