On the internet, such as this forum, I'm generally accusing other people of ultra-leftism.
However, in real-life I'm the one usually being labelled an ultra-leftist.
(I'll provide specific examples of this phenomenon in a later post)

Quite telling IMHO.

Something that I normally encounter from the effeminate upper/middle classes.

The condescension and sneering is probably due to people like me seeing only a handful of post/threads by you so far and yet all of them are full of contempt and arrogence towards everyone else on this site: complaining about lack of other stalinists, complaining about conspiratorial infractions/warnings, and then this non-sequitor of a thread. Here's a hint, while I and others may disagree with your politics... the politics is not what makes your posts disagreeable as far as I can tell. Act a little more comradely and I think you will see a warmer reception.

But maybe as an effeminate prolitarian, I'm just a bit touchy and so I don't go for that bourgeois macho alpha-dog bullshit.

Joined 2006? A sockpuppet? Probably not.

In my experience of administration at boards like this, it's often the case that people make two accounts (sometimes even several) and use them simultaneously. Sometimes they leave one dormant and when their other account(s) are gone, they re-active other ones they haven't used.

For example, A.J didn't post at all between between 29th February 2012 and 28th July 2013. That could just be a coincidence, but it seems unusual behaviour for a person who joined in 2006 to just suddenly decide to become a troll in 2013 after not posting for over a year. Also, most sockpuppets are incredibly vain and can't help but give little tell-tale signs; they just can't not give some indication that they've gotten one over on the admins. His signature is interesting in that context.

Of course, this is all circumstantial, but if anything, I would say he is a prime candidate for a sockpuppet.

Can one really use the word "effeminate" on revleft? I should clarify that I am opposed to censorship, but I am really surprised that using that "e" word did not attract some kind of censure or admin warning.

EDIT: I obviously typed too soon; the "effeminate" sneer provoked a lot of reaction. I honestly doubt that effeminacy is a class or group characteristic. People are individuals, after all.

"Garbage disposal unit's" response, "I imagine [AJ] as a muscular shirtless man ..." is really entertaining, I think, as is DasFapital's. :o

These outrageous accusations of homophobia and sexism, based on a throwaway off-the-cuff remark, are flimsy to say the least.

I suppose these slanders from opportunists of various hues come with the territory being as I am an upholder of the correct revolutionary line.

As Lenin famously wrote in The State and Revolution "During the lifetime of great revolutionaries, the oppressing classes constantly hounded them, received their theories with the most savage malice, the most furious hatred and the most unscrupulous campaigns of lies and slander"

To use but one example from yesteryear, from our own little country, Willie Gallacher was subjected to the most vicious campaign of smears by that vangaurd of world reaction the catholic church....

On a similar note, the late Jimmy Reid(when he was still a Communist) also suffered at the hands of the catholic church during the 1974 general election when he contested the Dunbartonshire Central constituecy(a seat he was widely tipped to win but ended up polling a disappointing third place).

Sort of proves that the church's endorsement of the Labour Party had little to do with an approval of social democracy but rather visceral anti-communism. Indeed, since the end of the Cold War, now that the spectre of communism has temporarily subsided, the catholic church has abandoned its support for Labour(if my memory serves me correctly the late cardinal winning called on his parishioners to switch their traditional labour allegiance to the scottish national party)

Reid, of course, famously remarked that some Catholic members of the Labour party in Scotland were so reactionary that if they lived in Franco's Spain they'd belong to the Falangist Party!
(There's a clip of this on youtube, incidentley)

How do any of the comments directly pertain to the issue of sexual orientation. There's no explicit connection as far I can see.

The term could perhaps be interpreted as homophobic within certain specific contexts, granted.

However, the way in which I deployed the term can't seriously be considered as such.

The word "effeminate" defines the feminine characteristics that some men may exhibit, specifically certain men who identify as gay. You are using that term as a pejorative, therefore making direct links between negativity and effeminacy, i.e. feminine characteristics in men. Thus, your use of the term is homophobic.

It's a fairly uncomplicated process of logic.

Honestly, "effeminate" as a derogatory term is undeniably sexist and/or homophobic.

ef·fem·i·nat adj.1. Having qualities or characteristics more often associated with women than men.

2. Characterized by weakness and excessive refinement.

Having qualities or characteristics more often associated with women than men isn't something a person should feel offended by. Being woman-like or unmanly is not a bad thing unless you think women are inferior to men.
