Some of those steps are ridiculous.
Turn on two-factor (or two-step) authentication. Google and Gmail has it; Twitter has it; Dropbox has it.
Suggesting to use a Dropbox in context of being agianst government espionage is very funny because dropbox reads users' files:

Run a Tor node
It's the best way to get attention of government survelliance. And if you run Tor exit node, you'll propably have troubles.
