Halloween is quickly approaching & costumes are needed. Those who are interested, what would you do for a costume? My SO & I have been throwing around lefties as ideas but I'm contemplating something scary, like Ayn Rand. What about all of you?

I'm going to dress up like a KGB agent. Ushanka and Trench-coat. It might seem a little bourgeois, but I bought it anyway since winter is coming up.

We don't do Halloween like you guys. Here it's more traditional to do 'magic-y' (pagan festival, and all that) stuff like witches and ghosts and skeletons and whatnot. It's not just 'scary' (or just 'dressing up'). Though lately there's been a bit of a trend for stereotypical axe-murderers/psycho-killers.

Maybe a vampire this year. I'm a goth anyway, it's all in the wardrobe.

^Oh man, that reminds me so much of my two former roommates (who were also a couple)...they were, or had, going/gone to a party dressed as an ICE agent and an illegal immigrant (he was black and she was chicana). I just had to shake my head at that.

(On a different note) I can't find a decent website, but I kind of like looking at some of the more absurd "sexy" Halloween costumes. Even though, of course, the comparison between costumes targeted at men and women is pretty depressing because they women's costumes are universally designed to be as sexy as possible, whereas the men's are more serious.
