When they say suspension do they mean like an actual punishment or do they mean like the paid vacation that many cops get when they're 'suspended' for doing something wrong? It doesn't really specify in the article I don't think.

Yes, 63.
suspended for 10 days, even if that is unpaid ten days its still a joke compared to the crime these fuckers commited. they killed 2 unarmed people.
the 13 who done the killing, will also just get a slap on the wrist and return to their routine.
i wonder if there will be even suspendings for the killing of the mother in washington a couple of days ago.
and to think that there are peole on this site who see the police as a potential ally...

I think one good short-term solution would be to penalize officers who make statements that are proven to be "malicious falsehoods," as harshly as possible. It would be so satisfying to one day read a headline that said, "Two officers suspended* for lying about seeing a gun in suspect's car."
*Fired or charged with a crime seems like too much to hope for at this point in time, given that the legal system still largely depends on the "infallibility" of police testimony.

One officer was fired and several others were "demoted or disciplined." It will be interesting to see what comes of the 13 who were involved in the shooting.

I think that all the officers responsible for the shooting should be punished at the fullest extent of the law (though I know this won't happen:(), it would serve as a deterrent to any blood thirsty police officer. Stories like these make me depressed I really hate injustice and I hate it when things aren't fair that's probably why I am a lefty)

I fully advocate the killing of police officers. They're thuggish brutes that do nothing but enforce laws that only benefit the state. They are NOT public servants that are willing to die for our safety. Police officers have NO obligation to protect you, they only have one obligation and that's to enforce laws that only generate revenue for the government.
Most of the time they're white males who are trained to intimidate and lie so that you self incriminate yourself so they can meet their quotas. Minorities are subordinated by these vile brutes every day in the inner cities.

The actual punishments being dished out are incredibly lenient considering the crime committed.
