How can cops even be this incapable of thinking critically? I mean is it really hard to see that you're on the wrong side of history when you're pointing rifles at children, tribal elders, etc. who are protesting because their land is being destroyed and their treaties are being violated?

The Birmingham Police and Fire departments sprayed children and peaceful protesters with firehoses strong enough to rip bark from trees and break bones. They didn't care about history, they cared about upholding their privileged status quo at the expense of workers of color.

But that's not what they naturally cared about, that's what they conditioned to care about. What I don't understand is how these people are conditioned at such a deep level -- lulled so far to sleep that is, that you could possibly see these types of actions as acceptable.
