I am a Marxist (ignore my avatar).
The left is pretty much dead in Iran, as it is seen as anti-religious and Iran is a theocracy, except for the kurdish group PJAK but i think they are near their end. The only ones i have contact with are the ones that teached me about politics and that is my father and his brother (I think they're former members of Tudeh but they won't tell me)
Although, i think the left can rise again due to the living conditions of the lower class.

I think there is actually a pretty strong crowd of really o.k. hekmatists in Sweden, talk to admin sentinel his CWI sometimes works with them.

this is not true. Communist party of Iran has significant influence in Kurdistan and has organized two successful mass strikes there in recent years. besides, PJAK is not communist.
