Hello Comrades,
I'm a new member here, a 1st Year student of the University of Malta studying B.A. Philosophy and Sociology. I'm working to form my own federative socialist student organisation in the traditions of Trotsky.

Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
Are you part of any established group? I've never heard of the 'Association of Federative Socialists' myself :) Also, what's the left like on Malta?

Welcome to RevLeft.
Good luck with your organising among the students. How do you see your role in the process? How are you going to go about it? I've recently left university (I was a mature student) and where I was there seemed little appetitie for confrontation most of the time - with occasional sudden bursts of anger. But as to how to organise, it seemed extremely difficult.

Thanks :) The AFS is the organisation I'm working to start myself at University, in support of a single European Socialist State. Other than that, I'm not formally part of any organisation, the Left is virtually non-existent in Malta except for 'Moviment Graffiti', an anarcho-syndicalist organisation at University who aren't very organised, and the Malta Communist Party, which doesn't contest.

Thanks :) Yes, there are hideously high levels of apathy and general ignorance when it comes to politics amongst the population. I count myself lucky in finding 8 people interested in forming the organisation committee. At this point, we plan to go about furthering the cause through debates, publications, presentations and education.
