Good evening comrades, first time posting but I've been lurking for a while now and have grown fond of the community here. I've got a few questions and I'm probably going to make a few statements based off of my own beliefs, I'm pretty newbish to these far left ideals.
So I'd like to consider myself a communist, although I strongly favor for anarcho-primitivism because I love nature, earth and would love to roam free with big bands of people as tribes. Traveling and hunting for my own food, making new friends and lovers without the sovereign hanging over us...ahhh. I understand that this is more of a wet-dream then a realistic political view though.
Some things I'd just like to ask regarding how wages are distributed equally. I certainly agree that everybody should be given equal pay but won't professions such as doctors be unfavorable if the pay is equal to everybody else ? I mean, I understand that doctors in America come from privileged backgrounds but there's so much studying that is needed in order to become one. I also understand that we all benefit from each other and no position should be viewed as more important than the other but wouldn't a doctor be paid just a little bit more ?
I have a feeling it's wrong to think this but I've stumped myself it seems.

The purpose of communism isn't to give everyone equal wages.
That's just propaganda. Everyone should have an equal house, dress the same, eat the same food, drive the same car (or all by foot maybe?) etc etc etc
No, that's not it.
Regarding wages, in communism, supposedly, people recieve different amounts of compensation for their work (and I say compensation because in a communist society, money doesn't exist).
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs". This is how it goes. Every person contributes to society according to thei abilities, if they know a lot about construction, they will help in construction, if they can concentrate for long periods of time, he will work longer than someone that can't stay focused for so much time.
If someone is handicapped, they obviously won't do the same kind of work, and will possibly not be able to produce as much even if he works the same hours.
But each person recieves according to what he needs. If someone has a disease and needs constant medication, he will recieve that on top of the satisfaction of all his other needs such as food, health, education, etc.
Someone might be handicapped, and thus, on top of all those things, he needs a wheelchair, and a home that is quite different from a normal one (for the sake of reaching high things, space to fit the wheelchair, etc)
Of course, this is only possible in a post-scarcity society which eventhough it may sound as something far-off, it is known that capitalism at this stage is less helpful to science than the next system will be.
For example, I heard that someone invented a car that moves on water. That guy got his life threatened by big companies that would lose all they had if someone started producing that.
It is known that most devices you have have programmed obsolescence. This is like a timer that a product has to start being useless. Light bulbs, for example, have been produced to last for ever.last for ever (https://www.facebook.com/oepelectrics?fref=ts)
But a product that lasts forever doesn't get bought again anytime soon. That means less profit. That's why the guy who made that bulb also got threatened.
Plus the money that the USA spends on military every year is enough (if my memory is good) to end world hunger for around 27 times, and to end extreme poverty 4 times.

First off, like others have said, there are no wages in communism. Communism means abolition of the wage system.
Secondly, becoming and being a doctor is by no means a good way to easy-street. In America, a lot of people going into the medical field are saddled with crushing debt that is by no means easy to pay off (even with how doctors in America are better paid than their European counterparts). You're also dealing with long, difficult hours, and all around, an extremely unpleasant experience even with that excellent check. Frankly, if someone's looking for good money without extraordinary effort, the medical field is not where they want to be. The folks who go into these fields are often motivated by more internal factors than external, because as nice as that money is, you're making considerable personal sacrifices to do your work.
So, with a communist society, we'd be making it easier for people who want to become doctors and help people to do just that, by providing everyone the necessary education without the financial burden. And, since removing these burdens would allow people who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford to, you'd be looking at fewer working hours for doctors as well.

Marxists are against wages. This is because wages represent a social relation. It's not just that wages are bad and it means that even if wages are equal we would still have this social relation. And this social relation is a capitalist relation, one where one person sells their ability to labor to another who owns the means of production. People should be marching under the banner of abolish the wage-system and communists should be agitating as such.
Regarding wages, in communism, supposedly, people recieve different amounts of compensation for their work (and I say compensation because in a communist society, money doesn't exist).
Not compensation as such. The theory goes that some people need more stuff because they have a family or something like that. Because communism is no longer a class society, then wages would cease to exist because everyone would have access to means of production and they would be common. Money would also cease to exist because it forms another part of exchange, and exchange itself represents private property, in the form of abstract labor.
