I'm hesitant to post online about political beliefs, but I'm convinced capitalism and religion will be the downfall of us all. I'll probably lurk for a time and post with extreme caution. My assumption is forums like this are monitored closely. Paranoid? I think not.

Peace.

hello and welcome.

Governments probably have us all mapped out, regardless of us posting on internet forums or not.

Forums like this probably are monitored somewhat closely at times. I doubt that we're really a priority of any government at the moment though given how marginal we are.

Anyways, welcome.

I am fairly confident that my government has an eye on me, don't let it worry you. Who cares?
Welcome.

Welcome comrade,

We likely are being monitored. If the threat of being monitored deters one from speaking up, then the ruling class does not need to have guys with battering rams, black uniforms, and handcuffs to crash in your front door at 3 AM and whisk you away to some underground dungeon. Fear of being monitored becomes as effective as fear of being kidnapped and disappeared.

Welcome to RevLeft! I don't think posting on here would present any harm to your safety, because frankly, we don't present much of a threat to the government in our current state.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask her.

I think you shouldn't be this cautious. I mean, if you apply that strictly, it pretty much excludes you from participating here.

of course this site is monitored, it's full of buzzwords that will set off alarms from any intelligence agency, just be careful what you type.

Enough already! After 10 months I've finally decided to jump into the fray. I'm not necessarily interested in deep political discussion, as much as building a sense of (online) community with like-minded folks. Daily interaction with people who object to your core beliefs becomes tiring after a couple of decades.
