My default cheap drink is a greyhound

If I have money or if I'm feeling fancy I might get a lemon drop or a washington apple. I also like AMFs but it seems like something bad happens every time I get one :o

Lately when I drink at the bar I'll just order shots of bourbon and wash it down with water. Don't do mixed drinks much anymore.

If I'm feeling extravagant, I really like long island iced tea and sangria.

But otherwise I'll drink either bourbon/vodka/dark rum and diet coke if I have a mixed drink. Though I usually drink cider or wine. And I'm quittingish drinking for the time being so I guess I'll be drinking cranberry juice or something next time I go out. :(

You obtain the biggest bottle of Gatorade you can, pour of half of it out or a little more, then fill it back up with vodka, put the cap back on, shake and drink until you blackout.

The inspiration of course being Danny Bonaduce.

Actually talking of chocolate, chocolate soya milk with cointreau (orange liqueur) is really fucking good.

-Irish Car Bombs with Amarula and a chocolate stout are the most delicious things you'll ever try
-French Connections (cognac and Disaronno) are great if you're feeling bougie
-I usually drink a hot toddy or two when I go out these days, just because I've dialed back my alcohol consumption a lot.

Oh, just making a joke about that bourgeois elitist James Bond. But, now that you mention it, I think I've had bartenders shake them for me. I like them because the vermouth hides the taste of the vodka really well and creates "spicy water". I get best results when I order it dry, not extra dry.

I only like gin in gin & tonics and I'd rather take a shot of gin than drink a gin martini for some reason. There's no accounting for taste...

If it's got vodka in it it's a 'vodka Martini'. IE vodka & vermouth instead of gin & vermouth. Both are of course horrible as they've got vermouth in.

I'll go for gin and tonic. It's certainly the spirit/mixer combo I have most often. But back in the day when I used to go out and drink cocktails, there was this bar near me that used to make cocktails named after kinds of desert - Tiramisu and Cherry Bakewells and such like. They were awesome (like a bit of Tiramisu, I do).

tbf I'm usually a beer/ wine drinker and when I have spirits I have them neat. I've had daquiris, mojitos and cuba libres a few times and they seemed pretty nice tho. Other than that i'll really only go for a g+t

I remember trying something with vodka, hazelnut spread (like for toast), chocolate milk and ice mixed. It was delicious, but it's probably some sort of blasphemy for mixed drinks.

no, it is a 'vodka & vermouth.' a martini is gin and vermouth, end of discussion. and clear cocktails should be stirred, not shaken.

just the way it is. obviously you can have your drink shaken if you like and even have your vermouth with vodka, but the latter is not a martini and the former isn't the way the drink is typically done (opaque cocktails are shaken).

Bombay Sapphire Martini, heavy on the vermouth at a ratio of 4 parts gin to one part vermouth (i.e. 2 oz gin, half oz vermouth). Shaken. Three olives.
Henrick's on the rocks with a twist.
Any good bourbon/rye on the rocks.
Punt e Mes on the rocks with a twist.
Lillet on the rocks with a lemon slice.
And, finally, the drink which I think I invented:
Muddle basil, cilantro, and lime in an old-fashioned glass
Add rocks
Add gin of choice
Add splash of simple syrup
Finish with splash of club soda or soda water
Stir and serve

I love red wine... but sadly I have no enamel on my teeth so it makes my teeth look horrible and I don't like drinking it with other people. I like white wine and soda and white wine by itself. I just like wine.

Rum and Pepsi Max. Can't really stand full sugar fizzy shite, besides Irn-Bru. Speaking of which, I sometimes drink Irn-Bru with Lindisfarne Mead, a personal concoction so I don't believe it has a name (Cumbernauld Pillager?), but it's a good mix.
