I would remove Luxemburg from the name as she was pretty much a Bolshevik. It's a common misconception that she was against the Bolsheviks, and therefore her name is thrown around with ultra-leftist theorists.

I still take influence from her books though. I don't agree with her on everything, but she is very influential on ultra-leftism.

Sadly, that is a common claim. Yet I cannot see how that is so other than the fact that both non-ultra leftists and ultra-leftists are still both leftists, and therefore can agree on many things.

Her works are to the left of Lenin though. She critically supported the Bolsheviks at a time when i also support them.

Ah, he seems like a pretty interesting figure, I think I'll look around for some of his stuff. Still, Mr. Pancake sounds like a character out of a kids book (A kids book with a marxist astronomer as a character? I wish.)

1. Pig fffffucker!!!

2. Post-Leftists readings of Debord are disproportionately shallow garbage, borrowing his phraseology to poorly cover up radical liberal individualism (see: Anarchy Mag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchy:_A_Journal_of_Desire_Armed)).

3. Anarchy for hipsters was RAAN, then Tiqqun, and is now Materialist Feminism. Get with it.

Jesus Christ. That's some of the snitchiest snitching I've ever seen. I'm assuming by "heroin" he meant "meth," since I'm pretty sure you can't make heroin out of Sudafed.

I do wonder how Hogschild got off with a misdemeanor in the 80's when he had all those drugs along with like five automatic weapons and a thermite bomb.

Just looked this (http://www.spunk.org/texts/writers/black/sp001654.html) up. On top of coming across as worse than the guy he's dedicated to trashing - who, in all fairness, sounds like a dick - he has a knack for the worst fucking alliteration-puns of all time.

In the middle of the night I was ordered out of Hogshire's apartment into an unfamiliar area of an unfamiliar city 3000 miles from my home. I had no choice but to go, but I couldn't pack my bags fast enough for the miffed Mufti. The surly Sunni ran up to me and tried to grab me and, I suppose, overpower me. He was in no condition for that. As gently as I could, I pushed him away from me, which, happily, I was able to do without even hitting him. This Musselman is no muscleman. It was bad enough what was going on without somebody getting hurt.

But the muddled mullah wasn't finished with winning our argument the only way he ever could, by force. Now he grabbed, not me, but his M-1 rifle, and he trained it on me. What made this even more crazy than the rest of the encounter was that at this point Poppy Boy took up a position between me and the exit. Was I supposed to jump out the window or what?

...

I turned the tables on the Muslim maniac. You know how the towel-heads are always taking Westerners hostage? I took one of them hostage. Having a gun trained on you concentrates the mind wonderfully. When Jim pointed his rifle at me, I grabbed Heidi as a human shield. Whereupon (you surely suppose) he put his gun down. Not so! He trained his rifle on his own wife! "The animal did not seem to care!" as he wrote to Junto. I didn't care? I wasn't aiming a gun at her. Jim was wired up and fired up to shoot her if that's what it took to shoot me. Which, come to think of it, is consistent with how Muslims regard their women -- as disposable. And with how junkies regard their junk -- as their top priority: "Opium is that Muslim's religion!" (John Marmysz).

...

This is a very bad time in this country for anybody, especially a Muslim, to go to trial on a bomb charge. ... And Hogshire knows it. He was scheduled to be arraigned on June 28. He didn't show. He is now a fugitive. (There are no charges pending against Heidi.) He must have stiffed whoever bailed him out, probably Hoy. Now Allah Hoy's money and Allah Hoy's men can't put Jim Hogshire together again.

It's almost like the other guy wrote it to make him look bad.

Ya, meth is made out of pseudoephedrine/ephedrine, not heroin

And regarding the OP: Jesus H. Fucking Christ I think I'm going to give up RevLeft again for a while in favor of copious drug use and partying or something

No offense but a feud between some post left anarchist and some writer doesn't have much to do with Marxist-Luxemburgist-Pannekoekist- Guy Debord Thought with Anarchist Characteristics.

An account of Hogshire's bust:

One morning a few days later, and before I’d had any response to my e-mail, I got a call from our mutual friend saying that Hogshire had been arrested in Seattle and was being held in the city jail on felony drug charges. It seems that on March 6 a Seattle Police Department SWAT team had burst into Hogshire’s apartment, armed with a search warrant claiming that he was running a “drug lab.” Hogshire and his wife, Heidi, were held in handcuffs while the police conducted a six-hour search that yielded a jar of prescription pills, a few firearms, and several bunches of dried poppies wrapped in cellophane. The poppies had evidently come from a florist, but Hogshire was nevertheless charged with “possession of opium poppy, with intent to manufacture and distribute.” The guns were legal, but one was cited in the indictment as an “enhancement”: another product of the drug war is the fact that the penalties on some narcotics charges rise steeply when the crime “involves” a firearm, even when that firearm is legal or registered. Neither Jim nor Heidi Hogshire had ever been arrested before. Now Jim was being held on $10,000 bail; Heidi, on $2,000. If convicted, Jim faced ten years in prison; Heidi faced a two-year sentence on a lesser charge. (Emphasis added)

So Bob Black just made up the part about the thermite bomb? I guess it's not surprising, but it does say the same thing about Hogshire on Bob's page in The World's Most Accurate Encyclopedia.

You do realize what thermite is? Nothing illegal about possessing iron and aluminum powder. Welders use thermite. If there had been anything remotely explosive in Hogshires apartment SPD would have surely made a note of it.

Yes we have gone a little of the track. Like I said 'post-leftist anarchism' is a 90's flashback for me.

I totally didn't. I'm kind of worried about Googling that shit these days (http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/2013/08/government-knocking-doors-because-google-searches/67864/).

Sorry, CMH, I promise this is the last post I'll make about that shit in this thread.
