The German neo-nazi Michael Krick, an active member of the far-right neo-Nazi Dutch People's Union (NVU), was sentenced today - Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 - by the court in The Hague to two years in prison for racially motivated grievous bodily harm of an Antillean man and possession of 43 t-shirts with the far-right texts 'Combat 18', 'Whatever it takes' and 'Destroy Zionism'.

In the early morning of May 20, 2005 he assaulted, at the time a resident of the Netherlands, in the presence of neo-Nazis Robbie Groeneveld, Stefan Verkooyen and Margot van Trienen, a coincidentally passing man so severely that he was hospitalized with a shattered eye socket and broken ribs. The victim was attacked solely because he had a dark complexion. Michael Krick (37) has been active in the German and Dutch right-wing environment for over 20 years, committed several racially motivated violence, was already several times in jail and is in the neo-Nazi Dutch People's Union active in the security crew. Furthermore, both the German and Dutch intelligence service are highly interested in this prominent, violent neo-nazi.
Whether the relationship of Michael Krick with the Dutch right-extremist Daisy Brewer survives the upcoming prison time remains the question. The joint custody of the children will no longer be an option after yet another sentence of Krick. After all, with the extreme political views of both parents and the structural violence of Krick the safety of the children can no longer be guaranteed in the eyes of dutch society.

acording to an mainstream newspaper while convicted for the "destroy Zionism" shirts which show an anti-semite jewish caricature getting shot "the conviction doesn't apply to the possession of the t-shirts with the print "combat 18" and "whatever it takes" because the court is of the opinion that it isn't sure that the defendant knew or could know that those slogans are hateful and discriminatory".
uhm, good for being careful and due process an all i guess dear judge but really, its not sure this veteran neo-nazi who was a member of combat 18 didnt know what it stood for?

Good news and continue removing this idiotic people from our society!
Would a ban on right extremist parties like his have any good effect?

No, krick himself has been a member of dozens of illegal or at least underground organizations.
The only thing a ban stops is then being an nusance and embarrassment in pairlametary politics and some hinderince in their organizing and recruitment abilities.
Their danger and appeal remains unhindered and they will either focus their strength even more on conquest of the streets or just start a new, legal, party.
