Hello comrades,
this is my first time on a leftish forum and I'm really excited to learn more about the light of Socialism. I live in the Netherlands, a country destroyed by the Nazi's during the war but built up by Socialistic labour bringing us a social security system that is vital for the weaker ones in our society. All the hard work seems to be for nothing while the government now constantly things to solve the financial crises by stealing through making savings on important things as home care and education instead of taxing the rich asses more. And when they have stolen the money they don't help the people out but choose to buy Joint strike fighters to serve the American imperialistic eagle in his pointless wars.
I was already into marxism but these events made me join my first protest organized by Dutch Socialist parties and groups what did really impress me. What made me sad was to see that I was one of the only young ones of the +/- 6000 demonstrators there that day. I spoke to some people including an old couple (living a good life but were there out of solidarity, respect!) who also told me that my generation has to learn to demonstrate to follow these (mostly) old folks up in stopping our stealing government. Although most of the people were 50+ the demonstration made an superb impression me and surely lures me in to learn and spread the word of the truth, the word of Socialism!
I'm happy to join you guys and to obtain more knowledge to convince my generation to carry on the Red Flag , rich or poor, employed or workless, black or white.
Differences don't matter in our struggle against this rotten system and racist fascists, nazi's.
