For me it is swimming and watermelon. Are there things you will miss now that it is over?

I do not miss anything about the summer and I am glad summer is over. I hate the heat and warmth. Nothing good comes out of summer. Go Winter!

There is nothing pleasant about the cold, snow, blizzards or winter. :glare:

Barbecue.
Especially ribs.
Cooked in my dad's smoker and slathered in KC Masterpiece.

We are still in the high 90s in Louisiana. It has cooled down a bit for 100 plus though.

Being able to take my son to the park. It's been raining pretty much non stop all September :(

Spending two summers, as a teenager who just graduated university, living at the lake, at my job I worked with my best friends, we hung every night. Didn't probably even know what mental illness was at that point in my life. Literally not a care in the world and no other decisions then 'should we go to the pub tonight, or just party at the cabin and jam'.
Edit: I guess those are the summers I miss specifically, not just things about summer in general.

My memories of my dad taking me to the park when I was a little kid (15 years later) are still some of the best memories of my childhood. What little kid doesn't want to go to the park? Especially when they have a parent who will play with them.

I might have to fly south for the winter. PA weather is awful, it goes from blazing hot (wonderful summer) to chilly as fuck and randomly rainy every 5 seconds (fall, which lasts about 3 weeks) to being cold as fucking fuck new ice age (winter) back to rainy every 5 seconds and chilly (second fall aka spring) then finally arriving at the only 3 tolerable months in this state (glorious summer). It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't work outside but last year there were days were I thought I was going to die and I mean, you can't even plan an outfit, it could be nice and pretty one second then you're like motherfuck and it starts pouring the rain down or there is a massive cold front or what have you.

I don't know what you lucky wankers are on about, but summer is still raging hardcore down here. Like it's gonna be in the low 90's all week here (That's around 32 C for you non-American lot), plus the usual like 100% humidity, maybe a bit less.
But when it does finally sod off I ain't gonna miss a thing.

The higher average ambient temperature. I don't like having to swaddle myself in layers of clothing during winter because it's cheaper than running the stupidly inefficient electric heaters in my flat.

When I was in school I like not having to go in summer, and summer still makes me happy for that reason, but it's starting to wear off.
I'll take the cold, thank you. I don't mind wearing a sweater around the house. the only thing you can do about heat is turn on the air conditioner and that gets expensive.

I'll miss the warmth and being able to just sit around in pyjamas/underwear. I already need loads and loads of layers and it's only September. :(

The thing I miss about the summer is the summer. It has finished already. I have been living in Europe for about a year, but I am used to long Middle Eastern summers. The temperature is still in the high twenties to low thirties in Turkey and it is miserable here.

Relaxing in my garden swing with a good book.
I can still do that now but it doesn't feel the same.
